Aren't Christians Arrogant Calling Others "Sinners" ?
You will be understandably offended if you think that Christians put everyone else down. After all, why should good, decent or even gracious people be called sinners?

Sin, in the bible, means to "miss the mark" with the Creator. Since God is a Spirit, we as mere humans cannot fully comprehend His holiness or the way He thinks. Thus, we sin because we are unable to understand God.

Rom 3:11 "There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God"

God is Righteous and Holy. However, we cannot claim to be "holy" as God is, even if we believe in His existence and do "good" works; No amout of merit can make us worthy to stand before God.

Rom 3:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Why We Need A Mediator And Savior
Therefore, we need someone who is holy to help us make peace and build a confident relationship with the Holy God. Only Jesus, the Son of God, fits that bill. Through His sacrifice on the cross, He proved His sincerity and paid the price to be our benefactor.

1 Tim 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;"

God Wants To Reach Out To You
As individuals, we have free will. Hence, it is our choice whether or not to believe and to submit to the Creator. His son Jesus was sent to communicate God's offer of eternal life to us. Without Him, we would be lost in our own reasoning.

God also knew that Man would ignorantly kill His Son. Jesus nevertheless came forward to sacrifice his life. Through his death He brought God's guarantee and forgiveness in the form of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is able to make us holy to God (1 Cor 6: 19, 20), and is promised to all who believes (Acts 1:4,5 & 2:32, 33, 37, 38). To "believe" Jesus is to repent and submit to His terms.

John 3:5 "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

Thus, we can see how God is just and fair. He has provided the way for all, no matter how weak or strong, just or guilty, to be made acceptable to Him.

Why Only Jesus Christ?
As Son of God, Jesus is the only one who has the credibility to effect this reconciliation. We should believe Him because He comes from heaven and is therefore qualified to tell us about heavenly things (John 3:12, 13). However, this "belief" in what Jesus tells us is more than just intellectual reasoning.

Since Jesus is alive, He is able to prove this truth to believers. He does this with predetermined signs declared in the Bible. These signs or evidence are consistent. Thus, the evidence that the original believers experienced after Jesus went to heaven would be the same until today.

John 4:48 "Then Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe."

What is left if for you to find out what Jesus taught so that your belief in His Word is personally confirmed and proven by Him.

To summarize, we are all sinners because our human state limits us; our very nature may even cause us to do things we regret. Thus, everyone needs to repent (to have a changed mind), accept what Jesus has done for us and submit to His way for peace and assurance with God.

We would love to have the opportunity to share with you how you can personally experience proof that Jesus is alive and that His claims are true.
